Worship at Kildonan United

At Kildonan United Church, you will find a comfortable place to just be in the presence of God and God’s people.

On Sundays, you will find welcoming people who are interested in you, a place for your kids, a vibrant Sunday School, a joyous choir singing. There is an opportunity to hear a meaningful message about the presence of God in your daily life. Every second Sunday, we gather over refreshments in fellowship to talk with each other and meet new friends. But Sunday is not the only thing about church.

There is an active Youth Group that meets during the week. Some members of the Youth group are in a group who will visit Nicaragua in March 2012. A Wednesday noon Bible study, a women’s group called the UCW is one of the pillars for friendship and of faith in action.   Study groups often occur during the week as well.

There are many ways to get involved in our church, through worship, choir, Sunday School, getting involved in various committees, visiting shut-ins, baking, creating banners, knitting prayer shawls, serving in the community, etc.

A TYPICAL SUNDAY LOOKS LIKE THIS:
  • We all gather for 10:30 a.m. worship in the sanctuary
  • The minister has a time devoted to the children
  • A children's hymn is included in this part of the service
  • Then Sunday School teachers and children go to classes according to age groupings.
  • Sunday School and Worship conclude around 11:30 a.m. There is often a fellowship time following Sunday School and Worship providing opportunity for visiting and mutual support.
